Spencer and Connie's Honeymoon - Bowron Lake, B.C.

Bowron Lake is essentially an undeveloped wilderness.  Users of its waterways can expect to experience hazards and hardships of pioneer travel.  Only Experienced canoeists, in good physical condition, with good equipment, and willing to devote at least one week to the task, should attempt the complete circuit.  The Portage trail between Bowron and IndianPoint Lakes is five miles long and extremely muddy.  Between Isaac and Mcleary Lakes is 1.5 miles of difficult trail.  There are stretches of fast and difficult water on Isaac and Cariboo Rivers.  However, an easy and relatively safe trip can be made up Bowron Lake and River to the head of Spectacle Lake.

Spencer Overall - Hound Hunter

Spencer served as President for the Idaho Hound Hunters Association in 196x.  He was featured in the Lewiston Morning Tribune with his two dogs, Tiger and Champ, because of his service to the Hound Hunters Association.

Spencer was an avid hound hunter, spending many days and nights chasing his dogs who were chasing the game.  Because of his time afield he possesses an incredible knowledge of the road and trail system in North Idaho.

Spencer's love for hound hunting spanned several decades.  Some of his more memorable dogs were Polo, Champ, Tiger, Gunner, Lil' Bit and Ranger.

Just ask him about his hound hunting days and he'll be happy to share a story or two.

Spencer Overall and his Family...

Spencer's love for the outdoors carried over to family vacations.  The Overall family spent many memorable Memorial Day and Labor Day vacations in the mountains of Idaho.  Many of those vacations involved bear hunting and fishing along the North Fork of the Clearwater River.
